Our story
Founded in 1998 in Naples, Buonocore draws on a long family tradition devoted to art restoration and artistic craftsmanship. For years it has been a reference point for restoration in Naples, with expertise in gilding, lacquering, antique furniture and fine decoration, including antique boiserie and other furnishings. Established by experienced restorer Giovanni Buonocore, the business has become a leader in restoring historic furniture and interiors. Today, his son Ciro brings a new department dedicated to antiques and 20th-century design, expanding the selection of antique furnishings and period objects. Buonocore specialises in creating bespoke luxury interiors, combining restoration and antiques to create unique, timeless spaces.
The Buonocore name in craft history
Historical sources collected by the family record craftsmen named Buonocore and Bonocore from the 15th century: Costanzo Bonocore, a stoneworker, appears in 1452, and Pietro Angelo Bonocore, a gilder, in 1573. These pages trace the name within the craft tradition of Naples.
